Didn't have any almonds so I needed another way to make parm. This was great, and worked well in a sauce. Thanks so much!

I'm sorry to say this just didn't do it for me. It just tasted like toasted nutritional yeast to me. Sorry!

Love this! It adds exactly the umami taste that I was looking for - this will be my all time parmesan sub now. Thanks for posting!

I used toasted sesame seeds and 1/4 tsp salt - the result was something that I wanted to eat by the spoonful. Delicious, cheap and easy. Wonderful on pasta or popcorn.

Tasty & addictive - after making some for a spaghetti dinner, I've been trying the left-overs on anything and everything, mmm. As carol_hawk mentions, it's more of an alternative to parmesan than a taste-alike. Even though it doesn't taste like parmesan, it works in all the same places with similar flavour effects. I was skeptical about this recipe, but I'm glad I tried it. I'll be keeping a jar of it in the fridge at all times.

I have been making this recipe over the past few years and it is very versatile. I am very fond of it on popcorn.

GREAT!!! I had also seen this on other sites but had not tried it. It is delicious but I think it should be noted that it doesn't taste like parmesan but can be substituted for parmesan on dishes.
