- Put first 4 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Boil 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in oats.
- Form into small balls and drop onto wax paper.
- Let cool and serve.
These are decadent and delicious! To me they are less like cookies and more like fudge. I added a 1/2 cup of soy-nut butter and will be adding walnuts next time. These were a tad too sweet for my taste, so I may use a little less sugar in the future. Overall though they are quick and easy to make and taste great.
I also took the suggestion of adding peanutbuuter, banana chips and carob chips. I soaked 3 dates in water instead of using sugar, but next time I think 4 will do the trick. My husband loves them!
