2. I registered just to review this!

I just fixed this for dinner. So freaking good!!

I once tried another recipe using mashed bananas and milk. good in theory, but didnt work too well.

Thank you for sharing!

 3. a classic. i'm not even 100% vegan but i looooove this french toast.

 4. These were really good! I used plain soymilk and added a few drops of vanilla extract, and I omitted the nutritional yeast b/c I didn't have it (I'm sure they'd be even better with the yeast). I used margarine on a nonstick griddle. Mine stuck to the pan initially but I just lowered the heat and let them cook longer, and then they were fine.

 5. This is one of my favorite recipes. I use thick artisan white bread, some reviewers said it turns out soggy, to prevent that I quickly dip the bread in the batter then place it in the pan. If you let the bread soak in the batter, it may turn out soggy. I also cook it on low to medium heat to prevent it from burning. The nutritional yeast gives it a nice crust. Super easy to make, it’s delicious! Thank you for this recipe!

Tweaks

 1. I used almond milk Added 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of vegan mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of vegetable broth, and a sprinkle of nutmeg.

 2. Used almond milk, gluten free bread, and ground chia seeds. Also subbed a couple tablespoons glutinous rice flour. Came out fantastic.

 3. Almond milk instead of soy. Stevia with a hint of organic sugar and whole wheat flower instead of regular.i also added a pinch of nutmeg, applesauce(about 1/4 cup) and little bit more cinnamon(to hide the applesauce flavor and it worked.i did not taste it) , homemade "honee" drizzled evenly on top and a pinch of salt.

 4. added 1/2 tsp fresh nutmeg, used hemp milk, 1 tsp vanilla

 5. Amazing! My egg French toast was never so crispy on the outside and gooey delicious on the inside. One change I did make was to use maple syrup instead of sugar, so I just added a little extra flour to make sure it was not too soupy and it was wonderful! Thanks.
