- 2 cups Red River hot cereal, uncooked
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 2⁄3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄3 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 cup molasses
- 1⁄3 cup maple syrup
directions
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- Line 2 loaf pans with parchment paper.
- Stir together all of the ingredients.
- Divide batter between pans.
- Cover tightly with tin foil.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours, if it is uncooked still, bake an additional five minutes uncovered.
