Veal Casserole

Ingredients:

Servings: 2

• 4 slices lean veal
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 3 tablespoons flour
• 4 cups stock
• 2 cloves
• mixed herbs
• 8 carrots
• 3 large onions
• salt and pepper
• parsley (to garnish)

Directions:

1. .melt the butter. Brown veal on both sides and remove from the fat.
2. stir in the flour and stock.
3. when well blended, add salt, pepper, herbs, cloves, sliced carrots and whole onions.
4. bring to the boil and add the veal.
5. place in an ovenproof dish cover and bake in a medium oven for 2 1/2 hours.
6. Strain sauce, and thicken with a little flour, then pour over the meat.
7. garnish with parsley.
