This was very good and so easy. I substituted 4 cups splenda for the 4 cups of sugar. It worked great. Thanks
Your recipe has really saved me...I needed a pudding mix for another recipe as we do not get ready made ones here.....So I used this recipe and scaled it down to my requirments and it worked so Thank U.
For what it is, this is a good recipe. I do miss the taste and texture of eggs, but as a recipe meant to meet a specific health need, it's very good indeed. It's rich, creamy, sweet, and more flavorful than I thought it would be. It's easy to put together and easy to cook. I love a recipe that allows for a lot of versatility and this is it. Instead of vanilla, I could use any extract and any complimentary fruit and get a completely different dessert from one mix. Next time I'll try coconut extract and some sliced bananas, or almond extract with some toasted sliced almonds.
I followed the recipe but it took more than one hour to thicken on double boiler and then i put it on direct flame as i was tired whisking it but still it did not thicken and i added gelatin powder and whipped cream .The flavor was too good but it did not set in chocolate eclair dessert and remained flowy ..Can anyone tell where i made mistake ? i HAVE SAVED THE MIX IN TIGHT JAR FOR NEXT TIME .PLEASE HELP AND GUIDE ME ...THANX.
I scaled this to one batch. Your recipe saved me from a "pie disaster" (see my pineapple pie review). Thanks so much Chabear01! Roxygirl
This is so simple and is a great thing to store in the cupboard for any time! I also used this in your delicous Mock Sour Cream Raisin Pie Mock Sour Cream Raisin Pie! Thanks for the recipe!
