This is one of the best homemade ice cream recipes I've found.
- 1 (16 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1⁄2 gallon milk
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 6 eggs, beaten
- 5 teaspoons vanilla
- Heat evaporated milk, milk, and sugar.
- After heating, add eggs (with ease) and vanilla.
- Strain, cool, and freeze mixture.
