Good overall but a little too sweet for my tastes. I didn't have a vanilla pod so I used 2 tbsp of pure vanilla extract which turned out to be too much. If I make this again, I'll only use 1 tbsp. I didn't have Grand Marnier so I used Gran Gala instead. It's also a triple orange liqueur but not as expensive. I did enjoy the texture and consistency of the preserves. My parents thought it was really good. Personally, I prefer your Orange Rosemary Fig Jam. Thanks for the recipe!

This was so easy and good. I am in Seattle and my figs ripen with green skins , so i peeled most of the skins off.(I think they are Desert Figs). I used Vanilla sugar and a little Apricot Brandy and Vanilla extract. So good!

These are the best fig preserves ever. I have a large fig tree and as they ripen I pick and make several batches. I cut the sugar in half and they are still very naturally sweet. I make them in chunks to pour over grilled chicken and also pureed for toast. Very easy and fast to make.

I also did not have a vanilla pod so I added 2 tbsp. of pure vanilla extract, and I blended the preserves as well but left in a few bigger pieces. It tastes very nice right out of the pot. We look forward to having it on toast!

Wonderful! I made only half the amount and wish I had made more now. I used vanilla sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste as I didn't have a vanilla pod on hand, and I blended the preserves before pouring into the jars. The smell was incredible, the vanilla really coming through. Thank you for posting this delicious recipe, and I'm off to get some more figs!
