    Grammy Holts Vanilla Cream Frosting.This is a family recipe that nobody in our family could get right! I finally had to actually watch and take notes while my MIL made this frosting. There really can not be any substitution for this recipe to come out right. My husband is very glad I can now make this recipe!!! Start with a 2 lb bag of powdered sugar.

    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Combine ingredients and whip to desired consistency. The powdered sugar amount is approximate, I have used between 1 and 1 1/2 lbs powdered sugar.

      If it is too watery add powdered sugar a little at a time to bring up to desired consistency.

      If too dry, add 2 tablespoons Crisco and approx 1/2 to 1 vanilla powder.
