This sauce is so delicious....thick and creamy with a satisfying flavor, but is best eaten immediately. So have everthing else prepared, then puree the sauce just before serving. Offer it at the table in a small pitcher to pour over fruit, pudding, cake , or anything else that strikes your fancy. This will keep, well covered in the refrigerator, for up to 3 days. Update July 2011:
Ive now made this again blending the cottage cheese thoroughly and serving it over some berry compote. It looked absolutely company worthy and had the same awesome taste. Its a keeper for sure!

This is absolutely wonderful! The taste is incredibly yummy with the vanilla adding a really nice touch to the cottage cheese and it also comes together so quickly and easily. I used this as a topping for crumbled cake bits and microwaved the whole mixture for 2 minutes. It was so good!
I dont have a blender and I dont mind the chunks from the cottage cheese, so I simply stirred everything together, but when making this for guests, Id use a hand-held blender for getting a more sauce-like texture.

Directions

  1. Whirl all of the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Serve chilled.
