I found this on Body Building. Try 5 tsp L glutamine (Opt). I have not tried this but I plan to. But I'm posting it for safe keeping.

Spread onto a waxed paper lined 8x8-inch pan. Pop into the fridge 20 minutes. Take out and liberally cover top with wheat bran, pressing a little bit into the stuff until there is no sticky spots. Take the mixture out of the dish by lifting the wax paper out of the pan and flip the whole thing upside down into the dish. Now, pop into the freezer for about 90 minutes or longer. Remove from the freezer. Allow to sit out, or place in fridge again, until the mixture is tacky and workable again (maybe 20 minutes on the table). Now, coat this side with wheat bran until no longer sticky.

I think I must not enjoy homemade protein bars... I have yet to find a recipe I LOVE. I don't like how they stick in my mouth, but the taste is usually okay. For this recipe I used chocolate pudding instead because that's what I had in the cupboard. I added vanilla extract as I used Herbalife Protein powder, which is unflavoured. I can't taste the peanut butter.. maybe I would add more if I made this again.
