This frosting recipe is from Southern living magazine. It calls for 1 tablespoon of milk. I used a dollop or two more milk as I was mixing the icing to get the consistency that I wanted.
- 1 (8 ounce) packagesoftened cream cheese
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 (16 ounce) packages powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- Beat cream cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.Gradually add powdered sugar and next three ingredients, beating at low speed just until blended. Increase speed to medium, and beat until well blended and smooth.
