I have never liked boxed mac and cheese but this recipe changed that. The buttery garlic flavoured Ritz crackers I used, and crushed red peppers really kicked up the flavour.
My Husband and I enjoyed this recipe very much !!! It was creamy, cheesy and delicious !! I omitted the cracker crumbs. Thank you for the recipe !!!
Reallly good way to make simple box mac even better. Only thing i did wrong was i should have stopped the noodles maybe a few mins early and left them a little chewy so when it bakes they come out better and not soggy. All in all a great eat!
Very delicious. We make this all the time. It's very easy to adapt. We like to ad cream cheese and/or sour cream, a little spicy brown mustard, and whatever cheese we have on hand. Sometimes we ad ground beef, ground turkey, sliced ot dogs or bacon, but its the rits topping on the top that makes it sooo good.
I decided to add some Parmesan cheese and since I don't eat ritz crackers I used bread crumbs instead. It tasted yummy!
Great recipe, I added chicken and broccoli and then left over cornbread instead of crackers.
Made this last night for DD and her BF. I used the NEW Kraft Deluxe Jalapeno Mac and cheese, but otherwise made as directed. It was very good! Seems like homemade with just a few minutes of work. Served with sliced avocado and tomato salad, they both loved it! Thanks!
Not bad. It is also super yummy when you stir in a can of stewed tomatoes (cut up the tomatoes).
Fantastic, creamy, and both the kids loved it. I served it with chili that I also found on Food.com (http://www.food.com/recipe/debbies-crock-pot-chili-45069), and it was really delicious -- perfect on our first cold day of fall!
