  1. I love this recipe. Tastes just like the real mccoy but with out all the fuss. Only change I make is to add an additional tomato soup as we like it more moist. I have even made this using green pepper chunks instead of the cabbage for unstuffed peppers. Equally as good!

  2. So easy and so tasty. This is always a hit at my home.

  3. Easy dish to prepare and great flavor!

  4. this is a really good dish, and I recommend it. I used brown rice, because that's all I had. Will defintely make it again!!!

  5. When you don't have the time or the patience to steam cabbage leaves and roll them up, this is a great alternative. It tastes just like traditional stuffed cabbage and takes no time to throw together. I usually use ground turkey with great success.

  2. Made this last night as I was in the mood for stuffed cabbage... but didn't have the time nor the patience to make it! This was really good! I used a bit more lean ground beef, used regular basmati rice. I also added Montreal steak seasonings to the beef and crushed red peppers. Instead of Parmesan, I used light mozzarella cheese that I added at the last 15 minutes. My boyfriend just devored his plate!! Thanks Denise!

  3. America Profile magazine recommended marinara sauce instead of soup for a spicier kick. Other changes included only 2 cups of water, but 1/2 cup Parmesan and 1 full teaspoon of salt and pepper each.

  4. I made this last night. It was an easy recipe to assemble on a week night. If I make this again I may try using tomato sauce instead of tomato soup. Maybe next time I'll substitute cheddar cheeese for the parmesan cheese.

I LOVE to cook and eat and read cookbooks. My kitchen really does overfloweth with them and of course this has quickly become my favorite cooking site! I live with my husband in a small town in eastern Connecticut. We are both retired. My children are all grown and have families of their own now. Our 3 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter all live in Florida and it goes without saying that we miss them very much, so when my husband retired last year we celebrated by buying a small RV! We so enjoyed driving it to Florida to spend the holidays with the little ones. Although COVID has prevented us from repeating the trip this year, I am enjoying learning new recipes to make in our RV for next year. I think the Instant Pot and the Crock Pot will be my new best friends while traveling!
