We sliced the onions very thin and added a little more seasoned salt. Very good, WAY better than most onion rings that I have had.
These are great onion rings - made them for a family fish fry. Used Buttermilk instead of whole milk and soaked the onions in the buttermilk for 1 hr before dusting in the flour. Mixed the buttermilk and egg with the four to make the batter. Came out nice and crispy.
I used Maui onion and it came out great. Very easy and delicious. Thanks, Uncle Bill!
These were awesome! They all were gone in no time. I followed the recipe perfectly and the results were great, golden, crispy and salty.

Thanks for sharing...
This recipe was...AWESOME! Fantastic job William!
I registered JUST so I could review this recipe. THESE ARE THE MOST AMAZING ONION RINGS I HAVE EVER TASTED! With that being said I did do some things differently. Not because I didn't believe this recipe was a winner just the way it was, just because I was running short on panko and didn't want to go to the store. I used the panko and just added some italian seasoning breadcrumbs. I also added some Tony Chachere instead of seasoning salt just for a little extra kick. Don't get distraught about the number of steps. This recipe isn't that time consuming and every step is SOOOO worth it! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for introducing me to the ONLY onion ring recipe I will EVER need. I will be telling everyone I know about this recipe!
Absolutely EPIC! This was my first attempt with frying anything (in the house) so the fact they turned out amazing was great!
YUMMY, perfectly crispy. Wonderful.
FANTASTIC!!! Accept nothing less out of an onion ring. A little time consuming, but well worth the effort! A hit all around. Thanks for the recipe. These are keepers!
These were fantastic!! I followed the recipe to a T and it was soooo good! This will be a recipe I make again--very worth the effort. Thank You Uncle Bill for sharing this wonderful recipe!!
