Ultimate Margaritas

"This is a Tyler Florene recipe I got from Food Network. I've always disliked Margaritas made with sour mix, now I'll never have to drink one again. I've tried soooo many recipes, but this is the best by far. The only way I changed the original was to double the sugar."

  • Combine lime juice, sugar, Cointreau, Triple Sec, tequila, and a big handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake 30 seconds, add the beer, but do not shake. Strain into salt rimmed glasses (optional, I don't like it) filled with ice. Garnish with a lime slice.

  2. Mmmmmm... beer in the margarita is something new and interesting, it sort of cuts the edge, but not too much. I think I like it and would never guess it was there!

I am a former retail management slave who is now a stay at home mom who absolutely loves her job. I have an eight year old, a two year old and a nine month old who all bring their own kind of joy to my life. My favorite thing in the world is to cook. We have a real, from scratch family dinner almost every night. Please don't be offended if I somewhat change a recipe in my review. I look at recipes sort of as guidelines, and alter them according to inspiration. I've received alot of helpful advice from reviews, that's why I share what I've done differently. With my little ones I'm pretty busy, but I LOVE this site and plan on being even more active as they get older.
