Ultimate Chocolate Cookies (M&M's)

"This was on the package of M&M's, and I had to try them. It's way too much chocolate for my taste, but if you're a chocolate fan this is your cookie."

ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 3⁄4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1⁄3 cup cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 3⁄4 cups mini milk chocolate candies
• 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter and both sugars until well blended.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix to combine.
4. In a separate bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together.
5. Slowly add these ingredients into the butter mixture and stir until combined.
6. Fold in M&M'S brand minis milk chocolate candies and walnuts, if desired.
7. Chill dough 1 hour or overnight.
8. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a lightly greased tray, about 2 inches apart.
9. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies or 10 to 12 minutes for crispy cookies.
