- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 5 1⁄3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup sour cream

Cream cheese frosting
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
directions
- Heat oven to 375* Mix sugar, shortening, margarine, vanilla and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Divide dough in 4 equal parts. Roll each part ¼ inch thick and cut with cookie cutters.
- Bake until no identation remains when touched, 6 to 8 minutes.

My ultimate cake right now is the german chocolate carob cake. My goal in life was to find the perfect sticky toffee pudding recipe. I have now found it in Carol's Sticky Toffee Pudding. This is the most amazing dessert (next to my carob cake) I've ever tasted.
