Wow, these were wonderful chewy fudgy brownies topped with a nice chocolate frosting. The recipe was easy to follow (one bowl cleanup), and only takes 25 minutes in the oven to produce a great dessert. I mixed up the frosting as soon as the brownies came out of the oven, and frosted the brownies while they were hot. Cooled the brownies in the refrigerator, and we had dessert. Thanks for another great recipe Inez! [Note: a toothpick won't come out clean after 25 minutes of baking because these a fudgy brownies.]

These brownies are wonderful. I had been searching for a recipe that yielded such delightful fudgy brownies and am thrilled to have finally found one. I used a glass baking dish and it took a bit longer to cook my batch, about 40-45 minutes. I also made the frosting with regular milk since I didn't have any evaporated on hand and it was delicious. Thanks for the recipe!!

These are really delicious brownies. I followed the recipe exactly, however, I think my oven must need some adjusting as they were still doughy after baking for for at least 40 minutes. Chewy is one thing, these were raw, but the flavor was a 10+ and I'm sure that I will try them again.

I am not one to cook dessert items but as all the kids were coming for Christmas, I searched out this recipe. I did not get a chance to make the icing as they started eating it without. A hit with all including me.

This is a great recipe...first one i have tried from recipezaar AND first thing i have ever baked!! And it turned out great. I did change one thing though...i halved the amt of chocolate for the brownie mixture, and i added mini chocolate hershey chip instead. But it turned out really nice and chocolatey anyway. GREAT STUFF! Thanks!

Yummy! These are perfect brownies. I am usually lazy and just use a mix, but this recipe proved that the extra effort is sooo worth it. The frosting is really perfect. We loved them. I will make these again. No more boxed brownies around here!

These are by far the best brownies I've ever made. I made a few changes though, I toasted the walnuts first, and since i only had 3 ounces of chocolate, I had to substitute the rest with the appropriate amount of cocoa powder and oil. But these were great, and the batter itself was wonderful too.

These were great. I have made these twice, once with icing & once without and either way is delicious. I had been searching for a brownie recipe that tasted like the ones I made when I was a kid and this is it. This will be my brownie recipe from now on.

Wonderful! Perfect amount of frosting that adds even more fudgy goodness. I used 1/4 cup half and half instead of evaportaed milk. Next time I'd cut the baking time by 5 minutes, but that may just be my oven. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

These were ooey, gooey, & fudgy!!! Exactly what I was looking for! :) I made the brownies exactly as per the recipe, except for toasting the walnuts first, and adding some pure espresso powder to the batter and the frosting. These were delectable brownies, and I'll certainly be making them again! Thanks for sharing, MizzNezz!

I love this brownie! Taste was wonderful, recipe was quick and easy to follow. My 9 yo DD did most of it. I included the walnuts, (toasted @ 350 degrees 5 min). I used half & half as I had no canned milk and it was great. Thanks for posting, we will make this one again for sure.

No wonder they call this Ultimate! It's the perfect name for these chewy, nutty, chocolatety taste sensations. I made with walnuts and pecans and everyone devoured them!

I used this recipe to make 'chocolate mint brownies' from a recipe on the back of an Andes mint chocolate baking pieces wrapper. The only difference was that instead of the frosting, I sprinkled the package of Andes bits on top right after taking them out of the oven, then spread them with a metal spatula after a few minutes. My husband said these were so good that I never need to make anything else for dessert again! These are fantastic brownies! I will try them with the listed frosting recipe in the near future! P.S. I also had to bake these for longer than the listed time. 40 minutes was what it took for me.

These were awesome. My brother wanted me to make brownies for his 25th birthday and I practised with quite a few recipe and then finally decided on your recipe. It thurned out lovely even in the practise session but I think what really made me extra happy was the look on my brother's face when he tasted the brownie. Yes he cut it instead of the cake so I did not cut it before hand. All the guests at the party too were raving. YOu were the one who deserved the compliments. I accepted them graciously on your behalf. THanks Miss Nezz - Fay

Wow! This is THE brownie recipe I've been searching for. I followed the recipe exactly, and in 25 minutes had awesome brownies. They are fudgy, not the cake kind. Perfect!

These Brownies were so easy to make and so moist and delicious. I did not use nuts because my chopper was broken...but they were excellent this way too.
