Directions

  1. Bring honey to a boil, then cool it.
  2. Sift flour with baking soda and powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream butter with sugar.
  4. Add the honey.
  5. Beat the egg yolks and add to the honey.
  6. Add the flour mix alternatively with the coffee mixture.
  7. Stir in the nuts.
  8. Beat egg whites stiff and fold into the batter.
  9. Pour into greased bread mold.
  10. Bake 325F 50-60 minutes.
  11. Unmold and cool well.

2 tablespoons of butter is not enough to make this cake. It turned out very dry. Disappointed for the amount of time it took to make it.
