Super simple! Love it! I made a double batch with whipping cream, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. The dash of lemon is a nice touch and brings out the dill flavour. I also added crispy bacon and cooked up some onion... because everyone loves bacon and onions added to any Ukrainian dish!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup fish stock or 1 cup chicken stock
  • 12 cup light cream
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill
  • 1 lemon, juice of

Directions

  1. Melt butter and mix in flour, but do not let flour turn color.
  2. Cook for 2 minutes or so.
  3. Add stock and mix until smooth.
  4. Cook several minutes, until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Mix in cream, salt, dill, and lemon juice.
