Wonderful presentation for bacon - looked like little twigs on the plate!! Flavour was really good, although I probably used about 6-8 tsp of brown sugar, & the twisting gave it a chewier, crispier texture. It was very easy to twist the bacon & it stayed that way on the pan.

I thought this was yummy! DH and DS didn't care for it, but they don't care for "sweet" meat flavorings. Too bad for them! I got to eat it all myself! And I love cooking bacon in the oven cuz I hate the mess it makes on the stove.

We really liked this recipe. The bacon had a great flavor and was a snap to bake in the oven, This is how I will cook bacon from now on.

We thought these had a very good flavor to them. I did eyeball the pepper and brown sugar and think I may have used a good amount more brown sugar than it called for. However after the 15 minute cooking time these were no where near done! They were still mostly raw. So I just kept cooking and draining every ten minutes for a total of 40 minutes. At this point they still had some chewyness, but were at least dark brown all over and some crispiness too. The ends did burn a tiny bit, but nothing we would have worried about. Loved the easy clean-up!

Fun, yummy "twist" to the already delicous breakfast side kick bacon! We already love your Oven Cooked Bacon With Black Pepper and Brown Sugar so I decided to see what "twisting" the bacon would do for the texture. I used a premium bacon ( not thick sliced however) and one end was thicker than the other and would not twist as well. Next time, I will try this with a store brand bacon that I know is thinner and see if it will twist better. I did sprinkle it with the black pepper, brown sugar and also added a little pinch of cayenne. Loved that little touch of heat with the sweetness of the sugar! I will be making this again when my BF's little nephew comes to visit... I am sure he will love helping make all of us breakfast!

The flavors and method are quite good here. I did also try Oven Cooked Bacon With Black Pepper and Brown Sugar to test out the extra spice and flat version. The twisted are fun (though I did have to weigh down the edges with ramekins for it to stay curled - not sure if that is because I used extra lean turkey bacon), but I think I like the crispier texture of the flat better. The minimum amount of black pepper does give this a bit of heat, which is nice. Yummy recipe!
