I used a 9x9 pan and started out with only 3 apples as stated, but ended up putting a whole sack of small granny smith apples. I used about 8-10 small apples and followed the rest of the recipe. The jiffy size cake mix was adequate, even for all those apples. I wish I would have added a bit of cinnamon, but I will do that next time. And there will be a next time. Everyone loved it!! I topped mine with cool whip, but I think ice cream would be great too. Thanks.

I really liked this cobbler. It was moist and delicioius. There were some spots where the soda didn't cover because the apples were sticking up. When I took it out of the oven, I had one of those apple juice boxes and just squirted a little juice on the cake mix and put it back in for about minutes. Very good. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

I am a busy mom of one. I started my own business in 2004 which actually allows me to work less hours and devote more time with my son. Its a lot less stess too. In our spare time, my son and I love to go fishing. I love to make jellies, bake and read romance novels and cookbooks.
