I'm really starting to look for crock pot meals, and this is a good one. I did it just as directed, except left out the mushrooms. I started it about 1 pm, and it was done at 5:30. I had some already cooked thin spaghetti that I added. Next time I might use a little less broth if I'm adding already cooked pasta, because it was a little bit runny.
Yum! This recipe was the first thing I ever tried in my new crock pot and it was delicious. The only change I made was to use whole wheat spaghetti. This is so great and surprisingly low calorie!
This is an easy and tasty dish. I got up this morning and wanted to have dinner ready when I got home from work. This recipe caught my eye because all the ingredients are usually in my pantry and freezer. It went together in 5 minutes and all I had to do was add the pasta when I got home. I also used Ro-Tel tomatoes and a quill shaped pasta as well as cannellini beans. The pasta did not need 40 minutes to cook, so I'd recommend that you just keep an eye on whatever type of pasta you use as they all cook at different lengths of time.
De-lish! This was super easy! I modified it a little b/c I was missing a few ingredients, but it came out just fine. I used diced tomatoes instead of stewed, fresh mushrooms, and white kidney beans because that's what I had in my pantry. Also i left out the green peppers, they give me heartburn. Next time I will try another shape of pasta, my boys don't seem to like the stringy-ness of the spaghetti. :) Hubby and I did though!! Thanks for a great, true crock pot reciepe....no pre-cooking the noodles....HOORAY!
Mmmmmm, still wiping the evidence of a delicious meal off of my mouth! :D Yummy!!! I made just a few changes, because I had to...rotel tomatoes and chiles in place of 1/2 of the stewed tomatoes, no beans (family doesn't like them) and whole wheat pasta. I wouldn't use the rotels in it again, personally. Thanks for another great dinner, Kittencal! You amaze me!
Kitten, this was amazing! I used chicken breast tenderloins and cut them in half. Added two cloves of garlic and Clamato juice instead of the water. DH and DD loved it! We had a wonderful supper tonight, thank you so much for posting this recipe!
A tasty dish, good and warm for a cold night. I didn't have a 29 oz can of tomatoes, so I used a 15 oz can, and a small can of Ro-Tel tomatoes with green chilies. They gave it a little extra zing. And next time, I will cook the spaghetti separately. It got pretty gummy.
