      These sandwiches are definately hefty. You will not miss the calories, I promise. I used smoked turkey in this recipe. All of the veggie flavors were wonderful with the onion roll. I loved the visual appeal and taste. Try it, you will like it!

      Tasty, substantial, attractive, and healthy! I seasoned the veggies with lots of lemon pepper and put more pepper on the cheese after broiling. I used Hearty Onion Rye Bread (Bread Machine) as my base. Thanks Mysterygirl for sharing.

      Oh, the flavor, colors and textures of this sandwich are awesome. I used sliced (not diced)veggies and an unaltered, toasted whole wheat bun. I also broiled the tomato and cheese until the cheese melted. I was sure this was going to need at least some mayo, but it didn't. The veggie juices were all the delicious moisture this sandwich needed. GREAT sandwich, Mysterygirl.

      My mom came over last week to help me take down all the Christmas decorations. This is what I served for lunch. Now this is an awesome sammich. I was able to get some nice unsliced onion rolls from a local bakery (drool) and scooped them out just like you directed. The vegetables had a wonderful flavor after being sauteed in the chicken broth. I used low-fat smoked turkey and smoked cheddar cheese. Served with apple wedges for a filling, healthy, lovely, delicious lunch. Thanks MG, from mom and me.

      I served this to a friend for lunch and we both gave it a definite five stars!! I did use sliced onion buns and just scooped out the bottom for the vegies and put on the turkey, I laid the tomato slice topped by the cheese on the top part of the roll then broiled them. I closed the sandwich after the cheese was melted. This was excellent!! Maybe next time I will try it in a tortilla just for a change. The sauted vegies were wonderful on this sandwich and no dressing was needed.
