This is a favorite recipe of the National Turkey Federation.

  1. Cook and stir turkey, onion, green pepper, and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the turkey is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the tomatoes, apples, raisins, olives, sugar, cumin, cinnamon and cloves. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Serve over rice and garnish with toasted almonds.

This has really nice flavors, and is such an unusual dish - and it's quite easy. I followed exactly, except I skipped the green peppers (personal preference) and I did add about 4 oz of tomato sauce with 4 oz of water to have a little sauce to simmer in. I went in a different direction and served this over spaghetti squash. Really good. Thanks for posting.

When I made it as is, the flavor was good, but it didn't make enough sauce to go over rice - what I ended up doing to make it edible for our family was to add a jar of Trader Joe's Moroccan Tagine sauce. But otherwise, I think it needs to have more tomato sauce.
