I used chicken broth instead of turkey broth and mixed veggies instead of peas and carrots. It turned out great! very tasty and the dumplings were perfect!! Next time I may add some thyme.
I am amazed, this was delicious! The dumplings were light and fluffy. Very easy to prepare. Thanks!
This was so easy and delicious! I used about 1/3 cup of chopped onion instead of the scallions because that's what I had on hand. This recipe is a keeper!
This was my first time making dumplings and they were delicious! Such an easy recipe when you have everything left over from Thanksgiving. I would make this again, definitely!
I normally do all of the cooking in my family. My wife and kids loved these dumplings. You made me look like a real winner. I definitely want to make this again at Thanksgiving.
It is exactly what I was craving after having smoked my turkey for T-day the day before. I used onions, carrots and celery and used 3 qrts of water to boil the carcass and added some chicken boullion. Dumplings thickened it a lot and they were so good. I topped each bowl with fresh ground pepper.
Excellent simple recipe for leftover turkey - goes together in a snap. I too used onion instead of scallions and like another reviewer suggested - I used a little thyme. I didn't have gravy but did have turkey broth so that is what I used. My kids loved it. I will make this again.
AWESOME! Very easy! First time dumpling maker as well. I just used some carrots and celery I had in the fridge. Used double the garlic. And I only had about 1 and 1/2 cups turkey gravy/broth, used the rest chicken broth..Turned out great! This would actually make a very good pot pie filling because its so thick!
Great way to use up letftover turkey after thanksgiving! Added a little puoltry seasoning and parsley to broth. Husband loved it-never tried this before but I can see this as easy comfort food.
