I just mixed the tuna and chunky salsa and left off the mayo and mustard; my boyfriend likes it better that way. I prefer traditional mayo/mustard/pickle tuna; it was easy to divide the tuna and prepare two half recipes.
My husband doens't like tuna so when he's working I try to eat tuna based meals. As a result I'm always looking for new & interesting options. What I liked about this recipe is the addition of the carrots and salsa. I'm not big on mayo so I sub'd some cottage cheese & cream cheese. I also added some celery, bell peppers & jalapenos. I blended mine in a mini processor and, although it came out quite runny, the tortilla kept everything nicely together for eating. Tasty recipe, thanks for sharing.
This was just alright for me. I think I should have added more taco sauce ( I don't like salsa for the chunks) but I was afraid to because I'm not a spicy-sort of gal, LOL. So I do need to add more to it to taste it, all in all, easy and filling!
I'm trying to eat more tuna since it's so good for us and this makes it alot easier! I didn't have shredded carrots and I used my homemade salsa. Next time I'll add some diced celery. Yum!!
YUM! This is so delish - my new favorite way to have tuna from now on! I omitted the carrot and used low fat cheese. I also added half an avocado to my wrap and it made the whole thing come together for me. I am looking forward to this as a work lunch tomorrow! Thank you so much for sharing! It's a keeper!!
Very unique and yummy! I am trying to eat healthy and this fit the bill. I never would have thought to add all these ingredients with my tuna, but wow! I used smart and deliscious whole wheat tortillas and taco bell salsa. I also added some chopped celery. Thanks, I will be having this again. Made for PAC fall 2008.
Made these for the Cameraless Chef Game and so glad I tried your wraps!! These were tasty and so different, I think because of the salsa!! I used medium salsa which gave a little kick to the wrap and also used Dijon mustard instead of yellow. Thanks Bippie - will be making these again!! :)
These are wonderful! The creaminess of the mayo combined with the spicy salsa and sweet carrots...yummy! I added a few slices of avocado and some sliced black olives to keep with the Mexican vibe. This filling is perfect on Jalapeno-Cheddar tortillas. :) Thanks for sharing, Bippie!
