- 170.09 g can chunk light tuna or 170.09 g can chunk tuna, drained and flaked
- 118.29 ml finely chopped celery, including some leaves
- 29.58 ml finely chopped scallions or 29.58 ml chives
- 78.78-118.29 ml mayonnaise
- 7.39 ml Dijon mustard
- 29.58 ml sweet relish
- 9.85 ml fresh lemon juice
- 1.23 ml salt (to taste)
- 1.23 ml fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
- 29.58 ml softened butter
- 4 thick slices white bread or 4 whole wheat bread
- 4 thin slices tomatoes
- 4 leaf lettuce (romaine, iceberg, green leaf, red leaf)
directions
- In a small bowl, mix together tuna, celery, scallions, mayonnaise, mustard, relish, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Butter bread, and toast until golden brown.
- Top 2 pieces with tomato, lettuce, and tuna salad.
- Close sandwiches, cut in half on the diagonal, and serve.
