  1. My mom has made these my entire life with the addition of either sliced black olive or green olives, we love them!

  2. I've made this twice and everybody loves it. The second time I substituted chopped pickles for the onion. It's a life saver on a busy night.

  3. Loved them. We omitted the onion and celery and used provolone cheese. So easy and quick. I will try the lemon pepper others suggested next time. Thanks!

  4. Mmm-mmm-mmm!! Just finished lunch. I left out the celery becuse I didn't have any but I doubt it mattered. This was the BEST tuna melt I've ever eaten. I used (sesame seeded) deli soft hoagies-I also sprayed them with Crisco spray and then sprinkled some basil/garlic herb blend before wrapping them in the foil. Served with some Pringles select SUN-DRIED TOMATO flavored potato chips and a handful of ZESTY bread and butter pickles. I am in LOVE with this sandwich. DH cleaned his plate. THANK YOU jean1!

  5. Used the recipe as a basis for the ingredients I had on hand. Used low carb bread, sharp and marble cheddar, and had no onions so used onion powder and omitted the celery. Added some black pepper too. It really hit the spot. Can see myself adding all sorts of stuff and varying it. I usually make tuna melts open faced but I like the way this recipe mixes the cheese and tuna and the bread stays softer, a nice change. thank you!
