This recipe came from a friend of DH's many years ago. When I make this dip, DH devours it! Goes well with potato chips or crackers. Great to take to a party.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna fish
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 -2 dash hot sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 12 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 -5 cups salad dressing (Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise)

  1. Put all ingredients into blender and blend at high setting.
  2. Serve with potato chips or crackers.

I'm not going to give this a rating because I don't want to discourage other people from trying it, but this was really awful! I was looking for a tuna dip because a restaurant I love used to make a tuna dip that was out of this world and I was hoping to find one similiar, but this went into the trash. The flavor and texture were just not good to me at all. Sorry!

Now this is really good and different! I'd never have thought to make chip dip out of tuna, but I'm so glad I did. I made a 1/2 recipe (using the whole small onion and tomato anyway - worked fine). As I was dipping, I could 'taste' curry powder in it, so I'm looking forward to trying it next time with a little bit of that thrown in for good measure. Thanks Whisper.
