This is my Scottish/Welsh Grandmother's recipe for real Scottish shortbread. Don't be deceived by its few ingredients and easy instructions. Its the best you'll ever taste!
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add flour, and beat until combined.
- Add Vanilla.
- If using a ceramic pan, press dough into pan and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. If you prefer to roll it separate the dough into two halves and roll each half in wax paper and refrigerate for at least 2 hours Then slice into cookies and bake for about 12- 15 minutes.
