Close, but it's missing olive juice which Trudy's added. Hence the martini.
My Hubby and I used to spend every Saturday night at Trudy's munching on chips and salsa and drinking these. Sadly, we had to move to Houston and we haven't found a place that makes a mexican martini that even comes close to this. Thank You so much Amy, for the memories.
Really great recipe but MUST add 1/2 oz of olive juice! The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star!!!
Angie D., I had a fabulous mexican martini in Houston at Willie G's downtown. Mexican Martini's are now my drink of choice. I live in North Dallas and I'm still on the lookout for a good mexican martini in this area. I just visited Austin...wish I knew about Trudy's then. I went to Ruth's Chris Steak house and the Elephant bar. I was only there for one night.
Very good cocktail. I really enjoyed this. The Sprite added a sweet touch, but the tequila made it seem a cross between a margarita and a lime cosmo. Thank you for sharing your recipe, Amy Gautreaux. Made for Spring 2013 Pick-A-Chef.
Pepper, my cockatiel, sneaked a few sips. Even just a little makes him a little too chatty. He had the nerve to comment that upon his observations, he saw me eyeing the 'Old Spice Man'. That bird mocks me. Made for All You Can Cook Buffet-Special Event Tag.
So, so gooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are ever in Austin, try it at Trudys. It will be a drink to remember!!
