This is a great gravy! I will cut down on the broth a bit next time - we like gravy a bit thicker. This was great on rice with Recipe #330299 and a side of veggies. I like how versatile this recipe is, like others mentioned. You can add any veggies and it would really be good on any meat. Yum! Made for PRMR tag game. Thanks foodtvfan! :)

Great country stlyle gravy recipe! Hearty and sticks to your ribs! This is beefs best friend! Makes a great base gravey which can be tweaked to suit. I made it as written, but added Kitchen Boquet to darken it up. Next time I will try the "fresh onion and/or mushroom treatment", and maybe a splash of marsala or sherry to kick it up a notch - "BAM"! I will also be trying to make this gravy for poultry too, however subsitute chicken broth and cream of chicken soup.

We enjoyed this gravy over pork chops and added fresh mushrooms and sauteed onions for added texture. We also used only 1/2 can of soup as we prefer our beef gravy a bit darker. We used some gravy master also, and minimal spices. This is a very good gravy and is very simple and easy to prepare. Being proffesional truck drivers, we can honestly say that this is better than any gravy we've had at a truck stop.

I had been wanting to make this since the day you posted, and I wasn't dissappointed! Easy and tasty! Next time I will put some sliced fresh mushrooms in it too. I made this to go over beef patties and it was a delicious meal!

This recipe saved a cheap cut of meat! I made exactly as posted to be true to the recipe, but really wanted to add the mushrooms. As another reviewer suggested, I'd reduce the broth to make the gravy thicker. It was also very light colored.....I've never used a browning agent, but might for this just to help it a bit. I'll also try it with chicken and chicken broth. Enjoyed this easy recipe immensely. Thanks so much for sharing!
