I didn't really think this combination would work, but I wanted to use up some excess fruits and surprise! They went together quite well. You'll want a straw for this one.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12 mango, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 very ripe banana
  • 1 small kiwi
  • 13 cup orange juice (add as desired)

  1. Blend all in a food processor, adding more o.j. if you like, till smooth. This would also be great with some "superfood" (i.e. flaxseeds or ground nuts) sprinkled on top.
  2. Enjoy!

This was very good, though I did find the kiwi to be a little overpowering. I used freshly squeezed oj and added a little extra water. I also added a little ice. The fruit was very sweet so no extra sugar was needed.

Love, Love all these fruit flavor combo's. Have to be honest with you Amber....never had mango in a smoothie b/f. Actually have only eaten one in my entire life. Can you believe it?? Not a fruit I generally buy. It was awesome in this flavor of other fruits. I also added a bit of your flax/cinnamon/brownsugar combination to the batch. Just to sweeten it a bit. My bananas were frozen and I also added about 3 ice cubes. Was a little to thick and so added a bit more o.j. Fabulous. Hit the spot after a morning workout. Glad I tagged!!! very very good! Next time I will freeze the fruit to get it even colder. It's ideal to drink it after a good exercise session on a hot summer evening. A bit pitty it's quite high in calories and sugar :)
