Wonderfully refreshing!!! No tex-Mex feast would be complete without a pitcher of this traditional red-wine thirst quencher with citrus. Prep time does not include chilling. Adapted from Ladies Home Journal.

  2. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, about 2 hours.
  3. Fill a large pitcher with ice; add sliced fruit, then pour in sangria over fruit and ice.

This sangria was really good. I've tried other recipe's that seemed to turn out a bit bitter but that wasn't the case with this recipe. The only things I changed was I added some grenadine instead of the sugar and I also added some cranberry juice to fill up my pitcher. Really good!

the absolute best sangria i've ever had! with my huge pitcher, i doubled it. i used a whole jug of burgundy (carlo rossi 4 liters). i accidentally tripled the sugar (i made simple syrup using recipe zaar recipe) and tripled the triple sec, but doubled all else. fresh lime juice was great. i used refrigerated oj instead of fresh. i had so much i shared it with several neighbors! thanks!

I liked this recipe because it didn't have any soda type beverage in it. I also didn't add the triple sec and I still loved it!!
