Trachelle's Favorite Wheat Bread (Bread Machine)

This bread is sweeter than most whole wheat breads and it stays moist and soft for several days. Freezes well too.


  1. Add all ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
  2. Add 2-3tbs of water or flour if dough is too wet or dry.
  3. I usually use the dough cycle then form loaf, rise until doubled, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Wow. What can I say. I cook and bake a lot, but this is the best bread maker receipe Ive ever tasted. I havent even used the brown sugar yet, been using regular white sugar.

This bread is sensational. I don't like wheat bread but my husband does....I gave this one a try and it was great. I let it rise twice before shaping and rising in pan and it took a little longer than 30 min....but definately worth it

This bread was really yummy! I enjoyed it very much! I added some honey (I can't tell you how much, I just eyeballed it) : ) I may try adding something else next time - dried cranberries or something like that!
