Just okay as far as my family was concerned.

I made this for a dinner party of forty and it went over well. The only changes I made was that I used toasted sesame seeds instead of the almonds and I also added thinly sliced red onions. I made it like a buffet and everyone put the salad togther themselves. That way everyone could put as much or little of each ingredient they wanted. It was very refreshing. The main course was Fettuchini Alfredo and we needed a light tasting salad and this was it. UPDATE: I made this salad for my family tonight. I didn't have any orange juice so I used the juice from the can of mandarin oranges. I LOVED it! I liked the flavor of the mandarin juice over the orange. Try it! I just love this salad. It's so easy to make and tastes like a salad you'd order at a fancy resturant. YUM!

Loved this salad. The dressing is nice and light and blends well with the fresh ingredients. I reduced the recipe to serve 1 and used a sectioned navel orange in place of the mandarin oranges.

We love the combination of fruit and salad greens, and we're just crazy about this salad. It's the perfect thing for when you want something a little different, and it is truly delicious. We sometimes have mixed field greens with mandarin oranges and top it with a bottled balsamic vinaigrette, but this dressing is 20 times better!

This recipe is really good, though the half teaspoon of black pepper does make the salad rather spicey. This isn't a bad thing but my fiance is somewhat sensitive to spicey foods. So next time I would probably reduce this to 1/4 teaspoon or even a little less.

Really cool crisp salad with a lovely dressing. I was looking for something cool to contrast with some hot ribs, this worked perfect! Love the crispness of the ramaine and the almonds and the sweetness of the mandarin oranges; offset very nicely by the vinegar and pepper. We will be making this again thanks for sharing!

This is a winner salad for sure. The dressing is really mild which I like. It did not overpower the salad. Also, I used the juice from the can of mandarin orange segments. I think diced avocado would be an excellent addition to this salad. I will be making this again.

Really good and simple to put together. I did not have any almonds so I chopped up some mixed nuts and used them. Worked well. Will do this again.
