Great flavor and so easy to do. I did use 1/2 lb. beef 1/2 lb. pork and added pepperoni to the 3 slices already baked bacon. It is so rich but so good. I may try adding anchovies to the veggie next time but great as is.

This was a delicious meal. It had lots of flavor and was very meaty. I thought the sauce would go perfect with some sliced smoked sausage, so I will use that next time instead of the ground up meat. I didnt read to puree the veggies til the end. So next time I will for sure puree the carrots and celery in a food processor to make a smoother sauce. I liked the small chunks but I agree that pureeing them would make it even better. I as well will double the garlic! I will surely make again sometime, thanks for the recipe!

Delicious!!!! Thanks so much for this little beauty Christmas Carol! My Italian husband approved of this Bolognese so that's saying something. This will be a regular in our house now and it's one of the easiest bolognese I have ever made! Cheers!

This was so good! I would say it was even better the next week we ate it out of the freezer. Very hearty and thick sauce. The only thing I would change is not to add the salt, since the bacon had plenty, so it was pretty salty for us..but it was still very flavorful, we loved it! Thanks so much for this recipe!

Hi Christmas Carol! We loved your tortellini! I did use lean hamburger that I had spiced up with Italian seasonings and chicken broth. I used sour cream mixed with a little water in place of the cream and it worked great (saved me another trip to the store!). This made for a wonderful meal on a stormy night. Roxygirl

Made this exactly as written. It was FABULOUS! Rivals any high-class Italian restaurant. DH said to make this one again. Very easy to make..a newbie cook could do this paired with frozen or fresh tortellini and impress any dinner guests. It was rich tasting and still had a "freshness" to it. Probably due to all the veggies. The tad of cream at the end added just the right touch. I also used my food processor to make quick work of finely chopping the veggies. Thanks for sharing!

I loved this. My husband said save this don't lose it. Here are the changes I made. I left out the celery and wine. I used the fresh tri-color torteloni. Absoulutely wonderful. Thanks for adding something new to our boring Italian night. Lisa

Delicious! I did make 2 changes. I didn't have dried parsley, so I used fresh and I had some leftover pork sausage that I used instead of the ground pork. Very nice flavor. :)

DH loved it, I enjoyed it also it was not hard to make, all the vegetables worked well together, the only thing I might switch next time is draining the bacon grease, It didnt say in the recipe to drain or not, so I left it and for my own personal liking found it a bit on the greasy side.
