I've never had a mai tai from PF Chang's, but I love them so had to try! This is the first one I've actually prepared myself but it was very good and tasted like a bartender made it! Yay me! Keeper! I did use simple syrup instead of the orgeat syrup, otherwise made as posted.
Followed the recipe exactly, added a little marachino cherry juice (a teaspoon or so, just for color) along with the cherries. It came out just perfect and what I expected from a good Mai Tai. And *so* simple to make. The flavors were nicely balanced.
We made a batch of these for the our SB Progressive gourmet and they were great! People really like them. They do have a kick
It's been many years since I had a Mai Tai but I enjoyed this so much that others might be showing up this summer. Just delicious and quickly made, yum! Made for ZWT7 and Witchin Kitchen.
