Great recipe. I used 1/8 c. dark balsamic and the rest white vinegar, DH said it tasted just like the original.

Wowzers, this is a nice quick recipe. Followed the recipe with a few minor variations due to what was in my pantry. Used a clove of home made roasted garlic paste, and some home made tomato paste. Also used traditional balsamic since I didn't have white on hand and substituted the corn syrup with an equal portion of local honey.

Went nicely with a double smoked cheddar and mozzarella grilled cheese. Yummy, using this recipe again!

I was making some hot wing sauce today and found that I was out of ketchup. This recipe tastes almost exactly like the store-bought versions. The only only change I made was to substitute the corn syrup for 1/2 raw sugar 1/2 honey. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing.

This recipe was a lifesaver, halfway through making our favourite meatball recipe I found I was 1/2 cup shy of ketchup and town is too far away to go get some. Food.com and morelhunter to the rescue! I followed this recipe almost exactly, using dark balsamic vinegar as that's what I had on hand and omitting the sugar as the one reason I dislike Heinz is it's too sweet. Although it's nice and worked great in the recipe, the balsamic vinegar is a bit too strong for my kids tastes. I'll definitely be making again and try it with all white vinegar and let you know then :-) Thanks for saving our dinner!

I was looking for a low sodium recipe and decided to try this one. I used the tomato paste with 20mg of sodium. I made the recipe as stated and it was very good but a little too sweet for me. The next time I'll leave out the sugar.

Thank you for posting this recipe, you saved me from having to make a trip to the store when I ran out of ketchup one day. This is a nice, mild ketchup. Next time I make it I think I will add a little more salt and vinegar to kick it up a notch. Thanks for posting.

I'm not buying ketchup again! I had to cut down on corn syrup. Had no balsamic vinegar but the results were great even without.
