My DH bought me a new cookbook, so of course I have to share this recipe with all of my Zaar friends! Recipe created by Todd Wilbur www.TopSecretRecipes.com
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 3⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup ice
- Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Set on high speed for exactly 1 minute.
Doubled this recipe using Egg Beaters for the raw eggs. They can be used the same as raw eggs as they are pasteurized (and you don't have to worry about coming down with anything yucky from using raw eggs). Grandsons kept running in the house for more so, in my book, that makes this recipe a success. Thanks, kittycatmom.
Positively creamy and oh so delicious! And the vanilla and citrus really come out and produce such a nice, frothy Orange Julius. I thought it tasted very much the same as the ones that are sold in the Orange Julius shops. At a fraction of the cost, you can't go wrong making them at home. Thanks for posting, kittycatmom. Made for New Kids On The Block tag game.
