    I learned how to make this when I was at a rehab facility earlier this year. It is NOT for someone who wants a genuine grilled cheese sandwich. Rather, it's for someone who feels like they may pass out if they stand up much longer in the kitchen.

      Toast the bread.

      When it comes out, butter each piece on one side.
    3. 3
      Put cheese on one of the buttered slices, with butter on the inside. Top with the other buttered slice; again with the butter on the inside.

      Microwave for 15 seconds until cheese is melted.

      I do this often for lunches because I'm the only one here and I get too lazy to cook for just me, haha. It's not great, but it does the job!

      Not a traditional grilled cheese but everyone with kids should try this recipe. Easy and safe enough for the kids to make themselves. Made for a quick dinner on the run, and all of the kids ate them and were happy. What more could I ask? Thanks for sharing a great idea! Made for PAC Fall 2007.
