This works great on teen skin or on those of us who are young at heart but get old enough to get a giant pimple right in the middle of a wrinkle!
- Mix together and store in an air tight container.
- Apply to skin twice daily.
- Straight Tea Tree can be applied to a single pimple with a q-tip for a fast remedy. Many times they are gone overnight. Just be careful as tea tree is very strong so do not use around eyes or any tender area. AND USE SPARINGLY!
I've used this for awhile now with some changes. 1 T is a lot of tee tree oil, so I reduced it to 1 tsp, added 1-2 tsp lemon juice and used about 6 oz witch hazel (reused my toner bottle). This is shelf stable and will last a long time. It gets any of the residual dirt that my cleanser may not have gotten. Love it! UPDATE: I use this every day and, as of Jan. 1st, I still haven't had to make another batch and it still stays fresh. Therefore this (with my changes) will go into my Top Fav's of 2009 cookbook. Original Review 4-1-09.
I've been using this for awhile now. It works pretty well. I've also added a few aspirins to it to help to reduce swelling. Very inexpensive to use. I like to use it before bed because tea tree oil has a very distinct smell.
I can't believe I haven't rated this yet. I used Wi Cheeseheads ratio and haven't had any problems with storage either, though I didn't add the lemon juice. It really helps stop troubles from developing when used at the first sign of trouble. The only thing I didn't like about it is the smell. Tea Tree oil is definitely an acquired like. Thanks Hope!
