This is an amazing cookbook and if you come across it, make sure to pick it up. "The Margaret Rudkin Pepperidge Farm Cookbook" Copyrighted in 1963.
- Put the tomatoes in a saucepan and chop them up into small pieces.
- Add the butter, sugar, pepper and salt and bring to a boil.
- Boil for about 5 minutes, then add the milk and bring again to a boil.
- Serve as is, without straining.
I love tomato soup but have never been able to find a good recipe. I love this one!!! Due some picky eaters (aka my parents) I throw it in the blender to get rid of the chunks, but it is very loved! I made it along side coby-jack grill cheese sandwitchs. Thank you for the great recipe!!
