    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Heat oil in sauce pan, then add onion and carrot and garlic.
    2. 2
      Saute on high until transparent.
    3. 3
      Add tomatoes and seasonings (basil and seasoned salt) and add 1 can of water (or dry red wine) from the 18 ounce can that had the paste in it.

      Place in slow cooker and cook on low all day.

      This definitely gives the 'sugo' an extremely intense flavour. Only amendment I made was to leave out the carrots but add the sweetness (neccesary as it counteracts the acidity of the tomatoes) with a little sugar. It was very good. I would say that there is no set cook time. The longer you leave it the more the flavours strengthen. Thank you
