I just realized I was out of tomato sauce this evening and used this recipe as a base to make some. I adjusted the ingredients a bit -- I'll be cooking for one for a while until my DH can eat solid foods again. I used your ingredients plus fresh thyme and oregano. I simmered the sauce on the stove with a bay leaf for about 20 minutes to let the flavors mix. This is a nice basic recipe -- Thanks for posting!people found this review Helpful.
