This mixes up in a flash. I like to mix it up at lunchtime on days when I have a lot of errands and put it in the oven on time bake so dinner is ready when I return home.
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 cup rice
- 1 can tomato soup
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dehydrated onion
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Combine all ingredients in a casserole dish, making sure the hamburger is broken up well.
- Cover and cook for an hour in oven at 400.
This is the worst thing I've ever made in my life. What a waste of good ingredients. My husband is currently out to get some fast food for my family as we just can't eat this. I followed everything exactly. This was in the oven first for 1 hour then 2 and still the rice is hard, the middle is mushy while the edges are burned. The flavor is horrible and consistancy...well...it leaves a lot to be desired. I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this but it is horrible. Maybe I did something wrong. Maybe you should look over your directions and see if something is missing.
