    This came from a cookbook called Riverside Cup of Tea. The recipes were prepared at a lovely restaurant which has since changed owners. My daughter worked as a waitress and my son worked in the kitchen at the restaurant under a very special lady who owned the restaurant and who taught her employees much about working in a restaurant with Christian values. We enjoy serving this at dinner parties as an appetizer and it is always enjoyed by all.

      Cut up tomatoes from can.

      Heat all ingredients slowly so half and half will not curdle.

      Lastly put in potato flakes to thicken.

      Add cookd shrimp cut in bite size pieces or 1 can lumped crab meat. This makes this recipe extra special.

      Loved it!!! It is very simple and so delicious, a definite keeper! I used skim milk, as that was all I had available and I added shredded cheese to top and served with warm rolls. thank you for sharing!

      This is a GREAT alternative to canned soup and you would never believe how easy it is. It is delicious and tastes "home-made" . I am so glad I found this. Thanks so much for sharing, Rosemere.
