I am NEVER buying canned tomato soup again! This was so easy, and so much better. I used dried basil, and added a little garlic and cayenne pepper. Delicious!!!

Delicious, and healthy too! I had an abundance of fresh tomatoes, so I used those. And I added a crushed garlic clove.

My friend and I used this recipe and it came out GREAT! I love how quick and easy it is! We were actually testing the recipe before making it as our first course for Christmas Eve dinner. We did have a few changes:

1. We used 3 garlic cloves instead of 2 - we like garlic!
2. We used a 12-oz can of tomatoes then also added 4 fresh roma tomatoes - diced.
3. We did blend it as the recipe calls for but not too much and left it a little chunky
4. After blending it we added a 1/2 cup of fresh spinach
5. We then added cheese tortellini

It was delicious!

Wow didn't expect that! I used fresh tomatoes, added a little chilli and small amount of cream at the end. i only had dried basil but it was still beautiful. I couldn't blend to much as my toddler doesn't like the noise and i think this was lucky as the texture is perfect with a few chunks in it. Wow what a great find, just looking for something to use up tomatoes.

Very good and easy! I would add more tomatoes, as I like my soup thick! Will be making again!

Hi Meow; Made this recipe for dinner and all I can say, "It is a big winner." I do not buy canned tomato soup for myself but my wife does. So now, I have her converted as she enjoyed the soup so much better than the canned "stuff". I did not change a thing, and made it exactly like you stated. Thanks loads for sharing. "Uncle Bill"

Would not add or change a thing! Hate creamy soups. Love brothy ones. This is perfect

It was ok. I was on a raw food, no dairy cleansing diet and I cheated a little with this cooked soup. I used 5 fresh tomatoes and I didn't used all the juice as it would have been too thin. I removed the tomatoes from the pot with a colander and put them in the blender. I poured it back in a pot and added the juice back till it was the right consistency. It was have been must better if I could have added a little cream
